Note: Admin account is required to change server settings. [default username=admin / password=admin]. Once you are logged in as admin, in the repository list, you should be able to choose the « Settings » repository.
- Creation
To create a new user, use the « New User » button in the toolbar. A modal window will ask for the new user login and password (type the password twice). By default, a new user is created with the minimal rights (see the Repositories Management about default rights). - Edition
Select the « Users » node in the tree to list the users currently defined. Here you can select a user and edit it’s properties by clicking « Edit ». Select the access you want to grant to a user for each repository, and check whether the user has admin rights or not. Warning, a user with admin rights will have access to everything! You can also change the password from this edition window.
If you can see a little « plus » sign next to a repository setting, open it and fill in the required parameters. Some repository access drivers may indeed require user-specific data to work correctly. For example, the access.ftp plugin will ask for an ftp login/password for each user. - Suppression
You can delete any user, by selecting and clicking edit, except your own user.
- Creation
To create a repository, click on « New Repo » in the toolbar and fill the dialog window : use a short, unique and understandable label, and choose the driver that will be used for this repository. If you don’t have an idea of what a driver is, simply choose the « File System (Standard) » driver.
Then, depending on the chosen driver, some parameters will appear. By putting your mouse over the « ? » buttons, you can have more info about each parameter. All parameters followed by a star « * » are mandatory. - Edition
Select a repository and click « Edit » in the toolbar to edit the repository parameters, and click the « SAVE » button. - Suppression
Select a repository and click « Delete » in the toolbar.
The built-in logging system in AjaXplorer is useful for debugging and troubleshooting your file server. Select the Logs node in the tree and navigate to a given log file (by date). Log entries are sorted by Date/Time, IP address, Level, User, Action (whatever was done) and Parameters (specific to each operation).
You can use the « Copy as Text » function to copy selected raws inside a given log file and export them as tab separated text to another application.
4.4 Diagnostic
The tests results run by AjaXplorer at install are stored in a file that can be found here. If you are encountering problems and want to post in the forum, do not forget to copy these results in your message! Use « Copy as Text » once you have selected all the raws in the table.
